One Chart Shows How European Stocks Are Beating U.S. Peers
European equities are outperforming their U.S. peers this month for the first time since April, shrinking a discount on valuations that was at a record just a week ago.
Although both benchmarks are lower in October as investors weigh the impact of looming U.S. rate increases, the Stoxx Europe 600 Index is beating the S&P 500.
That’s because valuations in Europe are already depressed after about $50 billion exited the region’s equity funds this year.
