QUEEN LETIZIA'S RASPBERRY REGAL SHADE

Queen Letizia of Spain Wears Her Signature Shade in Fine Royal Form

It might be fashion week in New York City, but today in Covadonga, Spain, Queen Letizia of Spain celebrated the Centenary of the Catholic Coronation of the Virgin of Covadonga. For the occasion, Her Majesty slipped into a regal shade of raspberry, a hue that has been worn by the Spanish monarch on repeated occasions.

The body-skimming sheath was an elegant and prim alternative to the shirtdress and top-and-skirt combos that Queen Letizia has sported recently, and recalled the coat-dress style from Christopher Bailey for Burberry that the monarch donned to meet with Queen Elizabeth II last July. An elegant slit below the neckline hinted at skin, while long sleeves and a below-the-knee length were modest foils.

Queen Letizia accessorized in similar fashion to her meeting with Queen Elizabeth II by grounding her look with neutral tone stilettos, which pulled double duty and provided a leg-lengthening effect and sophisticated finish. A suede clutch and ruby drop earrings were tonally coordinated punctuations for a flawless effect.
