THIS YEAR'S NOMINEES FOR FASHION AWARDS REVEALED

The Fashion Awards in Partnership With Swarovski Reveals Its 2018 Nominees

The Fashion Awards are set to take place on December 10 at London’s Royal Albert Hall, with over 2,000 members of international fashion community voting on the ceremony’s nominees and winners.

Today, at Soho House, the British Fashion Council chairwoman Stephanie Phair revealed its nominees for this year’s ceremony. “I would like to congratulate all the nominees of The Fashion Awards 2018 in partnership with Swarovski. Each and every one of them is being recognized for their creative excellence and innovation. I look forward to celebrating them alongside the rest of the industry from across the globe on the 10th of December at the Royal Albert Hall,” Phair said in a statement.

The top categories—Brand of the Year, Accessories Designer of the Year, Designer of the Year, and Model of the Year—have had their scope extended well beyond British fashion to acknowledge global trends.

As such, the Brand of the Year category includes two Italian labels, Prada and Gucci, one American label, Off-White, a French brand, Balenciaga, and Britain’s own Burberry.

The models category is similar diverse, with Americans Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, and Winnie Harlow up against the Somali-Australian model Adut Akech and British Adwoa Aboah.

Nadja Swarvoski said of this year’s roster, “Representing fashion’s most inspiring emerging and established talents, this list is the perfect showcase for the energy and diversity of the industry today. We are excited to unveil the winners at the awards show in London in December, which will raise truly vital funds for the BFC’s initiatives.”
